Amys Trip To Alentejo Stock

We traveled with Aer Lingus, flying from Dublin to Lisbon and then returning from Faro to Dublin. The flight took about 2 and a half hours.

Location

When we arrived in Lisbon it took about an hour to get to our first hotel, the Sleep & Nature Hotel Alentejo, this was a rural hotel with pool, gym, spa, restaurant & bar onsite. The nearest town was Evora and this would be around 40mins driving. The second hotel, the Vila Gale Alentejo Vineyards we stayed in was also in a rural location, they also had pool, restaurant, bar etc. but were about an hour from the nearest town. The Vila Gale was very family oriented, they had small slides in the pool, a petting zoo and they also had activities during the day for children. The third hotel, The Octant Santiago was in a more central location, the beach was around 20 mins walking distance and the town was only around 10 minutes. From the Octant Santiago it was around 1 hour 40 minutes to Faro Airport.

What I Loved

This kind of trip would be nice for people who don’t like really busy strips etc. and just want to spend a few relaxing nights away or for people who like going walking on holidays. During the day the weather was between 25 and 30 degrees.
