Angela's Trip to Barbados

By Angela Hayden

Barbados

I was lucky enough to be part of a FAM Trip to Barbados with British Airways. Two Irish agents went along with 10 agents from the UK. I had a great time and loved being able to soak up the culture in such a stunning setting.

Location

We flew with British Airways in economy class from Dublin via Heathrow to Barbados. We stayed at a number of locations during the trip. Our first stop was the Wyndham Grand Barbados (5 star) on the East coast, which was approximately a 40 minute taxi ride from the airport. It offers 422 rooms, 5 pools (adult-only and kids’ club options), a gym, tennis courts, 4 restaurants, and 2 bars. A taxi is needed for evening entertainment outside the hotel. The Crane Hotel combines old-world charm with village-style amenities, 5 pools, 5 restaurants, and suites with up to 3 bedrooms and private pools. The Sugar Bay Hotel (4 star) in Christchurch is family-friendly, with large rooms, a kids' club, a spa, and organised evening entertainment. The Waves Hotel & Spa offers 70 rooms and an adult-only area with a tranquil private pool, perfect for mixed family groups. The Apes Hill Golf Resort features luxury villas on an 18-hole golf course. Car hire is essential as it is 30 minutes from the beach.

What I Loved

Visiting Barbados was like stepping into a dream; the turquoise waters and powdery white sands were even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! I loved strolling along the lively boardwalks and stopping by the restaurants to enjoy fresh seafood dishes, as well as experiencing the warmth of the locals who made every moment feel special.
