Sharon's Trip to Mumbai
By Sharon Menzies
I recently got to travel from Dublin to Mumbai, India with some of my co-workers on a Fam Trip. The purpose of the trip was to check out some of the fabulous hotels on offer in Mumbai, which include the iconic Taj Hotel and also the Intercontinental Hotel on Marine Drive. I'll never forget my trip to this wonderful city, as I got to see & do so many unique things.
Location
Mumbai, located on Maharashtra’s coast in southwestern India, is one of the largest & most densely populated urban areas in the world. It became known as Bombay during the British colonial period, but the name Mumbai was restored officially in 1995. It is is known for its impressive skyline, with a mix of modern skyscrapers and colonial-era architecture. The city is a major financial, commercial, and entertainment hub, and is characterized by a vibrant and bustling urban atmosphere.
What I Loved
One of my favourite things about Mumbai was the amazing hotels that I was there to visit. They are luxury hotels that offer every amenity a guest could possibly want, as well as beautiful views & impeccable service. I would definitely recommend staying at either the Taj Hotel or the Intercontinental Hotel on a trip to India.
